Lead Domain Architect – Ensure Quality and Operational Resilience in Critical IT Solutions
Bankdata
Are you ready to take responsibility for ensuring the quality and reliability of Bankdata's IT infrastructure?
As a Lead Domain Architect, you will be a key player in future-proofing our technical solutions and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Who are we?
In the Change & Continuity Management team, our goal is clear: to create and protect an IT architecture that ensures Bankdata's continued success in an increasingly regulated and complex world. We develop solutions that balance quality, operational reliability, and compliance. As Lead Domain Architect, you will play a central role in ensuring that our IT systems are resilient, scalable, and always in compliance with regulations like DORA and NIS2. Working closely with both internal teams and our partner, JN Data, we ensure operational resilience across all Bankdata.
Your role: Understand and Challenge IT Architecture in a Complex Infrastructure
As Lead Domain Architect, you will be responsible for the technical analysis and continuous optimization of our architecture. Based on a solid understanding of our entire technical stack—from infrastructure to application layer—you will:
Challenge and optimize IT architecture: Ensure that our solutions support high quality and operational reliability while complying with strict regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with architecture teams to ensure that our systems can handle automation, scalability, and rapid recovery during incidents.
Future-proof solutions with impact: Identify technical improvements and implement solutions that enhance our operational resilience and ensure preparedness against disruptions.
Be a technological sparring partner: Serve as a technical advisor for internal stakeholders and external partners like JN Data. You will ask critical questions and ensure that our technological solutions not only meet business needs but also adhere to legal and compliance requirements.
In this role, you will have a significant influence on how Bankdata operates technically. You will work directly with continuity plans, ensuring that our architecture can handle automation, scalability, and rapid recovery in case of IT incidents. Through your technical expertise and ability to challenge both internal and external stakeholders, you will help shape and optimize our technical landscape to ensure both operational resilience and full regulatory compliance.
Success Criteria: The Path to Success
To succeed in this role, we expect that within the first 6-12 months, you will:
- Establish strong relationships with colleagues, leaders, and external partners.
- Develop and implement processes for business continuity and continuous testing of these.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the implementation of Continuity Management 2.0 program deliverables and support the embedding of these in the operations team.
Who are you? A Strong Architect with Deep Technical Insight
To thrive as a Lead Domain Architect, you should have a solid IT background and extensive experience with complex infrastructures. We are looking for a profile who can:
- Understand and challenge IT architecture: You have experience analyzing and optimizing technical systems and can ensure continuous improvements.
- Proactive and self-driven: You are used to driving technological improvements and taking initiative to challenge the status quo. You have at least 3-4 years of experience with continuity management, disaster recovery, or cybersecurity.
- Ensure quality and operational resilience: You have worked with reliable solutions in large IT organizations where compliance and legislation are critical.
- Regulatory understanding and compliance: You are familiar with regulations such as DORA and NIS2 and know how to ensure that technical solutions meet these requirements.
You are not only a technical expert but also a strong communicator who can collaborate with both internal and external parties to ensure that technological decisions are embedded in the organization.
