Market Risk Analyst

As a Market Risk analyst at Energi Danmark, you report on performance and key risk indicators for our energy- trading and portfolio management business, work closely together with the business on evaluating and implementing new products and provide risk insights, enabling management to make well-informed and risk-based decisions.

YOUR MISSION

• Responsible for market risk oversight of one of our business areas. Creating a strong market risk presence and building a good relationship across the business
• Participate in building a strong foundation for Market Risk in line with the newly launched corporate strategy.
• Monitor and report on key risk indicators such as Value-at-Risk, stress tests, exposure overviews and market developments.
• Work together with the business to formulate new business and product frameworks and integrate changes into current policies and procedures – as well as risk systems.
• Stay current on trends and changes and prepare detailed reports and analysis for management and the Risk Committee

YOUR PROFILE

• A degree in finance, business, or related discipline
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL or similar technologies is an advantage.

You will join the Market Risk team which is part of Risk Management at Energi Danmark.

We are a small team of both quantitative/technical profiles and more business/finance types. Being in Market Risk means being curious about how the world of energy really works and just as important how we measure and communicate this.

We love competing and do this both at the DHL-relay, Paddle tournament and daily at the table-tennis. We talk and draw a lot on our whiteboards to share ideas and insights on everything from the characteristics of power production from a Windmill to ranking the soft drinks available in the kitchen.
