HSEQ Specialist for PEAK Wind Asset Management
Based in one of our UK offices in London or Glasgow, you will join our dynamic global HSEQ team, which is responsible for driving HSEQ excellence globally across a fleet of projects in development, construction, and operations in onshore and offshore wind. This position will involve working closely with global teams, stakeholders, and partners to foster a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence in line with our core business deliverables.
Your key activities and responsibilities will include:
- Support the development and implementation of the corporate HSEQ strategy, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, legal requirements, and company objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure HSEQ standards are integrated into project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate HSEQ-related risks across all areas of the organization and in project-specific contexts by application of generally available methodologies e.g., RAMS, HAZID, HIRA, HAZOP.
- Review HSEQ datasets to analyse prevailing trends, devise proactive and preventative campaigns, and undertake regular audits and inspections.
- Design and deliver HSEQ training and awareness programs tailored to the needs of diverse teams, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to maintain high HSEQ standards.
- Carry out incident investigations, ensuring that root causes are identified, and shared learnings are lessons learned are applied across the organization.
Best-in-class profile with a strong operational focus
As our HSEQ Specialist, you are proactive, ambitious, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented. You should ideally possess the following:
- 2+ years’ experience in the renewable energy industry or related industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of onshore and offshore project construction and operations.
- A degree or equivalent in relevant technical or operational disciplines with professional qualifications e.g., NEBOSH, CMIOSH (or working towards it), or equivalent professional membership.
- Flexible, dynamic, and agile work style allowing fast learning and the ability to synthesize complex problems quickly.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills with experience in building strategic relationships with internal and external project partners, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks and incident investigation methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Ideally, you have gained experience within wind operations & maintenance, site, and office-based roles. A background in management consulting, large-scale energy infrastructure projects, and/ or roles where you have gained broad experience, and a wide skill set from the renewable energy sector would also be relevant.
