Senior People & Organization Business Partner

COWI A/S

Do you have proven skills at encouraging innovation and impacting business results in complex environments? Is it meaningful for you to influence leaders and help talents grow? Do you have a keen eye for building a pragmatic and impactful people agenda?

We are strengthening our People & Organization team and are looking for a Senior People & Organization Business Partner who is comfortable partnering as a trusted advisor and courageous advocate with our senior leaders in our Buildings & Industry unit, also covering the architectural firm, Arkitema.

Enable leadership growth and deliver strategic people partnership
In the role as Senior People & Organization Business Partner, you will work closely with the senior leaders to enable positive leadership, performance management, and organizational governance, making a significant impact on our business outcomes. You will report to the Head of P&O for Denmark and will be part of the P&O team in Denmark, based in Lyngby and Aarhus, and the global P&O team with dedicated HR professionals around the world.

Apply your skills to create a positive change and business impact
As Senior People & Organization Business Partner at COWI, you will be responsible for implementing the people's agenda together with the senior leadership team in Buildings & Industry. You will also be an important contributor to support the integration of the architectural firm Arkitema with the Buildings & Industry unit on both the people and process side.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Anchor leadership pipeline behaviors, promoting solid leadership performance.
  • Promote and develop annual people processes, including Engagement Survey, People Review, Succession Planning, Talent Management, Performance Management, and salary review.
  • Collaborate with Centers of excellence such as Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, and Global Mobility for design and delivery of global initiatives.
  • Manage the applicable union related activities in Arkitema, such as continuing education for architects and architectural engineers.
  • Promote organizational change initiatives and projects, ensuring strong implementation.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will:

  • Hold a master's degree in psychology, HR, business administration, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience within HR, predominantly as a Senior HR/P&O Business Partner.
  • Have proven experience of working with senior leadership teams, implementing talent strategies, organizational governance, and performance management in multinational environments.
  • Have knowledge of organizational governance including experience working with collective agreements within the Buildings & Industry area, e.g., the collective agreements for architects, architectural engineers, and technicians.
  • Have a keen interest in understanding business operations and developing senior leadership partnering skills.
  • Have a strategic mindset, capable of aligning people's strategies with business goals.
  • Be experienced at acting as a trusted advisor and courageous advocate to senior leaders.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English.

The preferred start date for this role is 1st December 2024.
