System Test Engineer

Are you passionate about quality and eager to tackle complex challenges? Our R&D department in Aalborg is looking for a talented System Test Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in designing, implementing, and executing both manual and automated system tests for our existing and future cutting-edge maritime safety products.

As a System Test Engineer, you will be the gatekeeper of product quality, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards before they go into production. Your work will involve close collaboration with product architects, hardware engineers, and software developers, giving you a comprehensive view of our products and their performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with system architects to define and understand product requirements during product development.
• Develop and refine test plans and specifications based on product requirements.
• Design and set up test environments, and document test procedures and results.
• Create, implement, and run scripts for both manual and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise and describe observed errors in bug reports.
• Validate new features and bugfixes.
• Conduct regression and release tests for new software versions.
• Review requirement specifications and technical product descriptions to ensure alignment with standards.

Based in Aalborg, our R&D department is a hub of creativity and technical expertise, and we are expanding our System Test Team to continue pushing the boundaries of technology.

Who You Are (ideally):

• You have an educational background in Software Engineering or have equivalent experience in a related field.
• You have a background in engineering with a strong passion for system testing.
• You bring experience in testing or developing embedded systems or software infrastructure.
• You have a solid understanding of networks and network protocols, and are comfortable navigating complex systems.
• You are proficient in scripting with Python and have experience with Linux and Docker.
• You write clear, structured test specifications and are known for your attention to detail.
