To further strengthen our Commercial Finance Team in Saxo HQ, we are looking for a new Business Controller.

Commercial Finance Team – Saxo HQ
As part of the Commercial Finance Team, you will play an important role in delivering precise and relevant information on business performance. You will work closely together with the Finance Business Partners, but also become a trusted partner in the broader Finance organisation. The Commercial Finance team currently consists of four Business Partner colleagues, and you will be reporting to our Head of Finance Partners. This is a new role, and you will be a part of creating it.

The Commercial Finance team is responsible for management reporting including presenting to the board/executive management as well as more detailed reporting packages for our global offices, business lines and HQ functions. The reporting process is performed monthly to ensure a consistent basis for follow-up and decision making and is continuously evaluated to maximize the value and the efficiency of the process.

The Commercial Finance team is an integral part of the forecast process within Saxo, including a broad range of work tasks in close cooperation with the business, e.g., development/management of forecast models, preparation of business cases/analysis for larger initiatives as well as consolidation of the total financial outlook.

Responsibilities
Transactions, systems, & data collaboration

  • Follow up and controlling at transaction level, to ensure quality of financial data with support from Accounting and Finance teams
  • Data deliveries including continuous build-up of Power BI and Excel based reporting models and planning tool
  • Close collaboration and support with Finance Business Partners
  • Be part of building our global accounting manual
  • Close collaboration with the Finance organisation

The position is based in our headquarter in Hellerup. Business travel will be limited.

Your profile
Craftmanship within accounting

Ideally, we imagine that you can tick of most of these areas:

  • Review and controlling of cost with support from Accounting and Finance teams
  • Either self-taught or hold a degree within a relevant field (e.g. finance, economics or similar educational background)
  • Advanced user in Excel (experience within PowerBI, HFM/Oracle, and Navision will further be an advantage)
  • Have a strong financial toolbox and understanding of both accounting and finance processes
  • Thrive with Ownership of and freedom to develop finance tools and processes

Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate who is structured, detail-oriented, self-motivated and analytical. You are a true team player willing to share learnings and new ideas. Additionally, you have a flair for communicating with different people.
