Presales Solutions- & Backend Architect

The position
Job overall purpose

• To have a key role in both designing robust backend systems and engaging with bank partners to tailor solutions that meet their needs

Key areas of responsibilities and key tasks

• Backend Architecture
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for our expense management platform
  • Ensure the architecture supports seamless integration with bank partners’ systems and other third-party services
  • Optimize backend processes and data handling to enhance system efficiency and reliability
• Solution Architecture:
  • Work closely with sales and business development teams to understand client requirements and design tailored solutions
  • Develop and present customized solution architectures that leverage both backend capabilities and our expense management platform.
• Client Engagement:
  • Lead technical discussions and presentations with bank partners and other stakeholders to demonstrate the value and capabilities of our backend solutions.
  • Address technical questions, concerns, and objections related to backend architecture and integration, providing clear and compelling responses.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in fintech, backend development, and expense management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on best practices and technological advancements for both backend architecture and solution design.
• Collaboration and Support:
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure that client feedback and requirements are incorporated into backend development and solution designs.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFPs, RFIs, and other proposal documents, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client needs.
• Proof of Concept and Demos:
  • Develop and deliver proof-of-concept (POC) demonstrations and pilot projects to showcase the feasibility and benefits of our backend solutions and overall platform.
  • Customize demos and presentations based on client requirements and feedback to ensure relevance and impact.
• Solution Documentation:
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of backend architectures, solution designs, and implementation plans.
  • Develop technical content for sales collateral, training materials, and knowledge base articles.
• Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at bank partners and other strategic clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and support throughout the sales and implementation process.

Qualifications
Critical experience

• Some years of experience in backend architecture and presales solutions

Skills

• Backend Architecture: Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable backend systems using technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Git, Maven, Gradle, Micronaut, Ktor, Postgres, RabbitMQ, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Github Actions or similar.
• Integration Technologies: Experience with APIs, microservices, and data integration.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and devise effective solutions to client challenges.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and blockchain as they relate to fintech and expense management.
• Fluent communicator in English
