The Position
As a Process Engineer/Scientist, you will be joining a project that is ramping up, so there will be opportunities to influence your own tasks by weighing-in and taking responsibility for your work.

You will become part of the chemistry team, wherein you will support getting the new equipment up and running and validating the processes. After this initial phase, you will become a part of our normal production team, with responsibility for a specific part of the process.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Support daily operations and maintain stable processes in an advanced and automated manufacturing setup.
  • Work with production challenges, validating processes, implementing projects, optimizing standards, and developing and improving workflows.
  • Participate in getting equipment up and running and validating processes during the initial project phase.
  • Ensure that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

This position is a great opportunity to be part of starting up a brand-new API purification plant.

It is key that you have a mindset, where you can see through challenges, propose solutions, and figure out a way to resolve them.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a Scientific area such as Chemistry, Pharmacy, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using tools and systems like Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • GxP and LEAN experience will be a plus.
  • Strong communication skills both in spoken and written English.

Experience in biochemical production processes and knowledge within automation systems for production will be a plus.

As a person you have natural curiosity and skills in coordinating and collaborating efficiently throughout the organization. You are structured and have systematic approach to work.

About the Department
We are expanding our capacity to increase production of Novo Nordisk’s current and future oral and injectable products by establishing a new and ground-breaking biotech facility in Kalundborg. We embrace new technologies and we’re building a purification factory with a strong focus on digitalization, automation and robotics. You will be joining the Chemistry team which is part of the Project Process Support. You will be collaborating closely with colleagues with backgrounds in chemistry, engineering, project management, automation and facility planning.
