Novo Holdings

Description
Are you passionate about driving innovation through private equity, growth equity, and venture investments to create a sustainable future and address climate challenges? Imagine thriving in a dynamic, global environment that values integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning while building your private equity and investment career.

At Novo Holdings, we’re not just offering a role—we’re inviting you to be part of shaping the future of Planetary Health. As an Associate in our Planetary Health Investments team, you’ll play a vital role in analyzing global private equity and growth investment opportunities. We offer a unique environment for personal and professional growth, characterized by ambition, dynamism, and professionalism on an international scale.

Novo Holdings is a world-leading life sciences investor with a clear mission: improving global health, fostering societal sustainability, and enhancing planetary well-being. Since 1999, we’ve championed innovative healthcare and sustainability solutions while delivering strong returns that support the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s philanthropic activities—funding scientific, humanitarian, and social initiatives. As of 2023, our total assets reached EUR 149 billion.

The role is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen.

Requirements
As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the investment process from sourcing to deal execution, and to post-closing portfolio management. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support deal evaluation through leading detailed financial analysis, modelling and valuation
  • Perform in-depth research on sector trends, competitive landscape and strategic differentiation of target companies
  • Hands-on involvement in transaction execution (including driving due diligence workstreams, interacting with management teams, and attending site visits)
  • Active management and monitoring of the financial and operational performance of new and existing portfolio businesses alongside management
  • Draft the investment committee recommendations and documentation

You are expected to work on multiple projects at a time as the lean set-up of the investment team and the deal flow require significant responsibility sharing. You will have the opportunity to leverage your entrepreneurial and commercial skills and work with management teams to outline value creation plans and eventually drive successful execution of the plans.

Your Qualifications

  • +2 years’ experience as a full-time Analyst or similar role from a top-tier investment bank, a private equity firm or from a corporate development/M&A function

  • High level of competence with respect to financial valuation and modelling as well as commercial due diligence
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think and work independently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in deal teams
  • Familiarity or experience with due diligence processes on investment projects preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Finally, we imagine that you are curious and intellectual with a desire to make a positive impact on society
