COMSOL is seeking a Sales Engineer to join its sales team who will be able to inform, sell, and support engineers, scientists, academicians on the usefulness of simulation using COMSOL® software.

There are multiple open positions to handle the following sectors:

• Sales in private organizations from different sectors e.g. energy, O&G, metals, railways

• Sales in premier government labs

• Sales in premier academic institutions

• Sales in start-ups and incubation centers

• Sales via channel partners

Primary Responsibilities
• Execute end to end sales, from the generation of an opportunity to its closure. This includes both pre-sales and post-sales operations.

• Account penetration & mapping, prospect for new business opportunities, develop relationships within key & strategic accounts.

• Understand customer requirement, purchase process and offer optimum COMSOL® techno-commercial solutions.

Pre-Sales Leads Qualification and Prospect Support
• Use your insight, communication skills, and technical acumen to proactively interact with prospective and current customers.

• Methodically identify and qualify simulation requirements for prospective customers through communications and demonstrations.

• Arrange and participate in onsite and web-based customer meetings, workshops, and marketing and sales events.

• Articulate business cases for the unique qualities of COMSOL, explain licensing models, and help negotiate terms and conditions with legal and procurement departments.

• Support prospective customers on evaluations of the COMSOL® software, or facilitate such evaluations through working in collaboration with COMSOL applications engineers.

• A willingness and ability to travel for limited periods of time to current and potential customers in order to run COMSOL-sponsored events and activities in India.

Post-Sales Support and Customer Relations Management
• Promote effective technical support together with COMSOL applications engineers on the use of the COMSOL® software for customers’ applications.

• Communicate with existing customers on a regular basis to manage their relationship with COMSOL and keep them updated on new features and technology in the COMSOL® software, as well as events and other useful activities.

• Find new opportunities to sell existing and new COMSOL® software and technology to existing customers or their colleagues as well as other departments within your customers’ organizations.

Minimum Qualifications
• A bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a physical science. Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical will be preferred.

• Course work based on one or more of the following or its equivalent: Computational analyses, modeling, and simulations through numerical methods, such as the Finite Element Method (FEM/FEA), to be used in applications, such as fluid mechanics or dynamics, transport phenomena, heat and mass transfer, thermal engineering, thermodynamics, structural mechanics or analysis, acoustics, chemical or electrochemical reaction engineering, applied physics or mathematics, or any application that may be mathematically defined by PDE or ODEs.

• Prior sales experience for minimum one year. Sales experience in Engineering Software Solutions (CAD/CAE) is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills on the phone, in person, and in writing.
