Financial Analyst

Join us in this role where you’ll play a key part in forecasting the Group's financial performance. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to reflect the latest information on our existing and future investments and periodically update the Group's long-term business plan. The analysis produced by the team is used by our Senior Management and Board of Directors to guide strategic decisions and drive prudent financial planning. You’ll also help develop and maintain best practice financial models and processes.
Welcome to Financial Planning & Analysis
You’ll be part of Long-Term Forecasting where you, together with your colleagues, will produce high quality financial analysis that is crucial for the Group's long-term financial planning. This analysis supports senior stakeholders in making robust investment decisions and is used in strategic discussions within Ørsted. Together with five finance colleagues based in Denmark and Poland, you’ll be responsible for updating the Group's long-term financial business plan, running associated analysis and sensitivities, and develop best practice tools and processes. As a team, we have a focus on personal development, and building skills and knowledge within the team to continually improve the quality of our deliveries. We operate in a transparent and supportive environment.
You’ll play an important role in:
- updating the Group’s financial business plan, reported periodically to the management team and the Board of Directors
- conducting sensitivity analysis based on the financial business plan
- analysing the impact of investment decisions on the Group's capital structure to support prudent and effective capital allocation
- supporting team members through effective review and quality control
- developing and maintaining the Group’s long-term forecasting tools.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a master’s degree in finance, economics, or business administration
- have some professional experience within finance which could include forecasting, capital planning, financial analysis, financial modelling, or valuation
- possess good communication skills
- have strong knowledge of Excel and a sound understanding of PowerPoint
- speak and write English fluently
- are ambitious, curious, and a team player.
