Core Responsibilities
In this new role as Junior Metrology Engineer, you will be executing on metrology technology activities towards quality inspection and focus on improving our daily control to make metrology standards for our shop floors. More specifically, you will:

  • Deliver high quality CMM programming and data sets including inspection plans to our global manufacturing shop floors
  • Support the right process of ensuring mould parts production to complete moulds at right time and quality
  • Identify mistakes based on data and if needed, correct and change the processes
  • Support internal and external stakeholders. Internally by supporting the direction for what good measurements look like, and how to evolve the measurement system globally for Metrology Engineers in the global Insert Factory setup. Externally by globally supporting our suppliers, Processing and Production, in case of quality issues
  • Support NPI (new product implementation process) in the Insert Factory to maintain the department’s status as supplier of choice for our manufacturing sites
  • Train colleagues globally
  • Contribute to the department's future development and workflows

Play your part in our team succeeding
You will join the Insert Factory team in Billund making special components to our key moulds for internal manufacturing. The team is a global provider being functionally responsible for analyzing and delivering production data to Insert Factory shop floor. This includes applying pioneering technology and software within manufacturing of high-end mould components to ensure a reliable and highly industrialized production environment of single piece production.

This comes with the overall vision of optimizing and automating the internal processes to exceed existing standards in the industry.

Do you have what it takes?
We imagine that the ideal candidate brings knowledge from the manufacturing industry working within the field of metrology. You have strong know-how with metrology daily operations of CMM machines and other automated measurement solutions. In addition, you bring:

  • Experience with CMM programming preferably Zeiss Calypso, and knowledge about other tools such as Micrometer screws, Vortex, pins, microscope, etc.
  • Experience with GPS tolerance settings
  • Knowledge about PMI
  • Understanding on how to utilize generated data sets and graphs
  • Knowledge and ability to navigate and work in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, local/global SharePoint, Outlook)
