The position
As an Area Specialist you will collaborate with your colleagues in the support team to address daily challenges and ensure the stability of the manufacturing process. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and managing the fermentation process, ensuring consistent, stable operations.
  • Leading systematic process improvements and optimizations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Acting as a mentor to colleagues, supporting their professional development.
  • Serving as a strategic partner to management, providing input and direction in complex or challenging situations.
  • Ensuring the ongoing stability of production operations, with a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards.

Key to your success will be prioritizing critical tasks to ensure timely completion, while maintaining a focus on delivery, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Masters or bachelor's degree within biotechnology, chemical engineering or similar.
  • Proven experience in production processes, ideally within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and strong technical expertise in production systems gained from industry experience.
  • Proficiency in LEAN principles, with the ability to apply them effectively in daily operations.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with GMP regulations.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and willingness to learn Danish.

This role also demands strong leadership, with the ability to set direction and manage multiple tasks while adapting your communication style to various stakeholders. About the department
We are a diverse department consisting of operators, skilled workers, academics and more, focussing on producing products for diabetics around the world. In total we are currently about 130 people working to keep the fermentation facility running 24/7. The department is undergoing substantial remodelling and is therefore expanding.
