Leica Geosystems Machine Control Division is driven to create solutions that improve safety and sustainability while increasing productivity and efficiency for our customers’ road construction and other civil engineering projects.
We now have an opportunity for an experienced Hardware Product Manager to join our team in Product Management at Leica Geosystems Machine Control Division in Odense, Denmark.

THE ROLE
As a Hardware Product Manager you will have direct involvement in crafting the roadmap and requirements for our portfolio of hardware products (display panels/cradles, embedded computers, IMU and laser-based sensors, cables, brackets, etc.) that support our machine control solutions. Specifically, you will be responsible for driving the simplification and scalability of our hardware portfolio to enable future sales growth and bottom-line profitability. You will naturally facilitate between various departments to ensure accurate delivery of requirements, documentation, and execution of policies and processes.
Examples of your tasks include:
• Write business cases to justify project investments with profitable outcomes
• Analyze markets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for product enhancement
• Create detailed specifications and requirements
• Make buy vs. build decisions to ensure timely delivery and profitability
• Create end of life plans
• Contribute to product pricing strategy
• Act as hardware product owner in R&D projects
• Support go-to-market strategies
THIS IS YOU
You have a formal relevant education, bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Surveying, Business, Technology) or equivalent combination of education and experience. You are honest, engaged, structured, analytical, and willing to be part of a great team where we value and use our differences to push the limit of quality and performance.
In addition, we expect you to have:
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
• Ability to rapidly grasp customers' requirements and formulate solutions.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.

• Ability to manage stakeholders and represent the company professionally.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface at multiple levels and functions.

• Understanding of product development processes.
• Knowledge and or experience in heavy construction or mining industries is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in English, other languages are considered a bonus.
• Flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones as needed.
