Welcome to the Automation & Metrology group
At Novonesis, we are continually expanding and optimizing our production facilities. Our fermentation plant in Avedøre is powered by an ABB DCS and Batch system (Built on ABB 800xA and ABB 800M), which plays a vital role in our vision to reduce our environmental footprint. Our team is expanding, and you will work alongside 7 other automation experts. Our department, with over 30 employees, consists of technicians, engineers, and project managers who share a good sense of humor and mutual respect.

In this role, you’ll make an impact…
… when you work with our process and batch control systems, particularly ABB 800xA, to enhance our production capabilities. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to translate process improvement requests into automated solutions. Additionally, you will improve existing processes to reduce resource consumption and production errors while boosting user-friendliness and productivity.

In addition, some of your key tasks will include:

- Implementing improvements from the process department into automation systems.
- Analyzing reported program or hardware errors and proposing solutions.
- Enhancing production processes to reduce resource usage or production errors.
- Improving system usability and productivity in collaboration with production teams.
- Guiding colleagues in the best use of the ABB 800xA system.

Depending on interests and experience, you will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues on troubleshooting and enhancing other automation platforms, including Rockwell and Siemens systems, as well as robot and CTS systems. Documentation management is another essential part of the role.

We expect you to have…
- In-depth experience with ABB automation systems.
- Knowledge of batch control systems and S88 concepts is an advantage.
- Experience with GMP is a plus.
- Proficiency in English, and preferably a Scandinavian language.
