Novo Holdings is looking for an investment professional with 6-9 years of experience to join our Public Investment team in Copenhagen with a focus on direct credit investments.

The Credit Investment team is part of the Capital Investments team, which is responsible for Novo Holdings’ investment activities outside the life science sector. The team performs thorough fundamental research on companies across multiple sectors and invests in a variety of instruments within the credit universe. They have consistently delivered strong results and are dedicated to achieving attractive risk-adjusted returns. You will become part of a team of 4-5 people, that are responsible for credit portfolio of 13bn DKK which is continuing to grow.

The Job
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and executing new investments across the leveraged finance spectrum in both public and private credit. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise in various industries and develop further in certain areas of interest. Your work will include due diligence, valuation, financial analysis, and continuous monitoring of companies/industries. Furthermore, you will be able to take on responsibility from day one and mentor junior employees. Working closely with the Capital Investments team, you will be responsible for the following:

• Investment research and due diligence
• Financial analysis, valuation, and modeling
• Industry and competitive analysis
• Writing memoranda for internal use
• Execution of transactions
• Mentoring of junior employees
• Lead work streams

The job will require some travelling.

Professional & Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• A relevant master’s degree within finance, economics, or accounting with top academic results
• 6 years or more relevant fulltime work experience
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Experience with due diligence process, or investment research is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and deliver thorough and impeccable output
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and with strong analytical skills
• A team-oriented and collaborative mind-set that thrives in a dynamic investment environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple projects and stakeholders
• A strong drive, personal and professional integrity, and a positive attitude
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
