About the job:
The Global Head of Communication, Earned Media & PR is responsible for shaping and executing Saxo's public relations strategy and driving earned media efforts across both traditional channels and organic social media. This role plays a pivotal part in building the company’s reputation and increasing its visibility, while directly supporting key business metrics, including client acquisition, lead generation, and revenue growth.

As a senior leader in the marketing team, you will manage a team of approximately 10 PR and communications professionals, as well as a network of local PR agencies, to deliver high-impact campaigns. Your focus will be on leveraging the power of PR and organic social media to engage with existing and prospective clients, in support of the company’s overall KPIs and growth objectives. Aside from traditional PR and crisis management tasks, you will also be expected to increasing traffic, generating leads, lowering customer acquisition costs, and driving new client revenue.

Responsibilities:

• PR Strategy & Media Relations: Develop and execute PR strategy aligned with corporate goals and marketing KPIs. Build relationships with key media and influencers to secure high-impact coverage.
• Support Marketing KPIs: Drive earned media to boost website traffic, generate leads, lower client acquisition costs, and increase revenue. Integrate PR with broader marketing campaigns.
• Strengthen Company Profile: Position executives as industry experts through engagements and content that elevate the company's profile.
• Crisis & Internal Communication: Lead crisis management and internal communications to mitigate risks and ensure clear, consistent messaging across the organization.
• Collaboration: Align PR and Communication initiatives with product launches, regulatory requirements, and regional strategies by working closely with various departments.
• Measurement & Reporting: Set KPIs for PR and social media, track key metrics, and provide insights for optimization.
  

Your profile:
A bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is required, with a master’s degree or financial qualifications (e.g., Series 7, CFA) being advantageous. Candidates should have 7-10 years of experience in public relations and communications, including 2-3 years in a leadership role, ideally within financial services, fintech, or investment management. Expertise in driving earned media and organic social media campaigns to boost brand visibility and engagement is essential. A strong commercial focus with a proven ability to develop PR strategies that support key business KPIs, such as increasing traffic, generating leads, and driving revenue, is crucial. An extensive network of financial media contacts and a successful track record of securing top-tier media coverage are highly valued. Leadership skills to inspire and manage high-performing teams and external agencies are required. Experience in crisis management, particularly in handling high-stakes communication crises and regulatory issues, is necessary. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Danish, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into engaging messages, are essential. An analytical mindset to leverage data for assessing campaign performance and optimizing future strategies is also required.
