Inpay is recruiting for an Analytics Engineer to join our Data & AI team. We are looking for a data-driven profile who can take our data modelling and documentation to the next level.
The job is based in Copenhagen.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Support teams in the organization to help them navigate their data and extract the insights they want.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using modern tools like DBT to ensure data is structured, accurate, reliable, and accessible for analysis.
- Collaborate with data analysts and other teams to understand data needs.
- Design high-quality, reusable data models.
- Ensure data quality through automated testing, validation, and monitoring of data pipelines.
- Help manage and document the data architecture, including data models, dependencies, and lineage.
- Actively participate in code reviews, version control (Git), and deploy best practices for analytics engineering.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure and work closely with team members to optimize our data models.
- Help other teams better understand their data, actively promote better data-literacy in the organization.
Skills & qualifications:
- Experience in a data engineering or analytics engineering role, with strong SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with data transformation tools and languages like dbt (or similar), SQL, and Python.
- Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake, (or similar like: Redshift, or BigQuery).
- Experience maintaining scalable data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data modelling best practices (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams to solve data challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- DBT (or other data orchestration tool)
- Python and/or R
- Snowflake (or other data warehouse systems)
- Fivetran (optional)
- Git
- PowerBI (optional)
- Azure (or other cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP)
