Electrical Operations Manager

About the role:
Due to our continued growth, Global Wind Service is looking for an Electrical Operations Manager, to be based within a commutable distance of one of our local offices in Europe (Fredericia, Denmark; Duiven, The Netherlands; Lowestoft, UK; Szczecin, Poland; Madrid; Spain, Constanta, Romania; Istanbul, Turkey; Flensburg, Germany; Nantes, France).

In close collaboration with the Head of Electrical Organization at Global Wind Service, you will be responsible for further developing, leading and driving the Electrical Organization within the company. You will lead our 4 Divisions – Offshore, Onshore, Service & Maintenance and Blades, in relation to electrical qualifications and drive the development requirements and new training programs with our Global Wind Service Academy in addition to working alongside Sales to further develop Global Wind Service offering. You will drive initiatives for improving Health, Safety, Environment and Quality within the department, in line with Global Wind Service HSEQ values. You will report to the Operations Director, based at our office in Germany.

The Main Focus will be on Operational activities, develop and running the Commissioning activities and driving the Safe System of Work activities for the E.-Org.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with our offices globally to drive continuous improvement of our Electrical Organization’s function at all levels.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with electrical specialist and management competencies and the ability to further develop the Electrical Organization. You should expect travel on a regular basis, approximately 50% of your working time.

Job description:

• Lead and collaborate within the wider organization to establish the optimal operational delivery of our services.
• Lead, coach and manage the electrical resources within their assigned division.
• Ensure global project portfolio delivery adheres with the Company’s Safety and local requirements.
• Develop internal people resources via trainings, development plans and initiatives, ensuring market readiness.
• Deliver against P&L and Strategic targets to contribute to the long-term success.
• Develop and execute growth strategies in collaborations with the E-Org.management.
• Partner with internal functions:
• Legal – Local compliance
• Leadership – legal/ operational compliance
• HSEQ – Processes and Procedures
• Customer-focus with a pro-active operational approach towards customers in relation to services of Global Wind Service.
• People Leadership including the monitoring and management of performance.
• Develop Trainings and employee roadmaps.

Requirements
Job requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical disciplines within the Wind Industry.
• 5 years+ People Leadership Experience.
• Strong understanding of Project Management, Contract Management, Commercial, Sales and Legal within the Wind Industry.
• Goal orientation with strong focus on consistent delivery, actions and problem solving
• Strong understanding of Operations Management and its integration into an organization and financial planning.
• Proven ability to initiate, develop and grow superior and sustainable vendor-customer relationships.
• Ability to collaborate and strong negotiation skills.
• Stakeholder management skills and the ability to establish credibility and trust both within the organization and with customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to details, focus, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
