Postdoctoral position in preventing intergenerational transmission of anxiety at Center for Anxiety at the Department of Psychology

Københavns Universitet (KU)

Center for Anxiety at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), invites candidates for a postdoctoral position in a clinical research project investigating the feasibility of an intervention preventing intergenerational transmission of anxiety, starting from 1 January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is for 2 years.

Introduction
Center for Anxiety consists of a research center and research clinic that specializes in cognitive behavioural- and metacognitive treatments of internalizing disorders for children and youth. At the center, we conduct basic and applied research that can bring us one-step closer to understanding why some children and young people develop anxiety and depression and how to quickly and effectively help them overcome these problems. We developed and tested a variety of interventions for anxiety in children, often placing special focus on the role of parents. For instance, research on gaining knowledge about how parents can be a resource in both preventing anxiety in developing in children and youth, but also parents as a resource in treatment of childhood anxiety has been the focus of the center within the recent years.
