The HSE department is focused on making the world a better place today and on protecting it for future generations. For this purpose, we HSE professionals working for Vestas in the areas of Safety, Environment, Corporate Social Responsibility and Security throughout the world. We are looking for a Health and Safety Environment (HSE) Coordinator Offshore Service Support & Special Projects

The position is based anywhere within the EU and UK

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all activities related to a specific project, training, audits, inspections and documentation level and processes of the NCE HSE Services department
  • Work in close collaboration to Vestas' internal departments, external HSE authorities and Service Project Teams as appropriate
  • Gearbox exchange
  • Generator exchange
  • Upgrades and After Sales Projects
  • Blade replacement, Bearing and Pitch Cylinder upgrades, repair works

Qualifications

  • HSE coordinator with several years of experience within Wind Renewables
  • Knowledge of UK legislation with the foundations to work as an HSE officer, knowledge of construction phase plans
  • Operates and thinks at higher professional / academic level with preference for a technical background in Naval, Mechanical, Construction or Offshore Engineering Oil & Gas or Energy and Energy Utilities
  • Good English knowledge (written and spoken)

Competencies

  • Proven (extensive) experience in HSE discipline within construction, offshore, maritime or Oil & Gas, process industry
  • Proven organization sensitive, persistent, and conceptual thinker in combination with a hands-on mentality
  • Great communication skills, structured and systematic approach, and proactive and make things happen
  • Experience in implementing and enforcing HSE policies, processes, and instructions
  • Experience in the on/offshore wind industry or in the energy sector, part of a multicultural environment offers leverage for this role
  • Proven experience in heavy lifting is advantageous - LOLER Competent Person level / Appointed Person Lifting Operation is a benefit
  • Knowledge and experience in incident investigation, RCA and delivering on action planning, and review of Method Statements and Risk analysis and risk assessments

Additional information
Position Location – EU/UK – Rotation contract 2 weeks on 2 weeks off travel to project sites. Travel and projects are subject to change.
