Student Assistant for Group Sustainability
Are you eager to apply your theoretical knowledge to hands-on sustainability projects at one of the largest banks in the Nordics? Do you want to support Danske Bank in creating sustainable progress for today and generations to come? Then this might be the right job for you!

Danske Bank’s Group Sustainability team is responsible for developing and driving initiatives to advance the overall sustainability agenda of the Danske Bank Group. We are currently looking for a student assistant (15-20 hours per week) with an analytical mindset, eye for detail, and a skill in numbers, who is eager to support Danske Bank’s sustainability agenda.

Join our dedicated Group Sustainability team
As a member of our Group Sustainability team, you will join fifteen highly engaged and dedicated colleagues based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Our work covers a broad scope: from developing Danske Bank’s strategic direction and policies on sustainability to reporting and engaging with colleagues across the bank to support the sustainability agenda. Our daily interactions are dynamic as we work with complex development projects and manage a substantial number of stakeholder relations both internally and externally.

You will be working in a team where the tone is informal, and we draw on each other’s knowledge and experience for professional discussions and sparring. Professional and personal development is a key area of focus for us, and we will support you in developing your mindset and skillset throughout your employment. As your skillset evolves, so will your scope of work.

Help ensure robust reporting and drive projects forward
As our student assistant, you will work on ensuring robust reporting on our sustainability initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders as well as supporting us in driving projects forward across the sustainability agenda and business units. Your tasks will consist of e.g. collecting and processing sustainability data and information, researching and analysing sustainability trends, market drivers and peer initiatives, preparing presentation materials – and much more.

As our new colleague, you likely have a profile that covers the following:
Ideally, you are in the final year of a bachelor’s program or entering your master’s program, studying fields such as business, political, social, or environmental sciences, or another relevant discipline that adds a fresh perspective to our work.

  • You possess good communication skills and are adept at engaging with internal stakeholders.
  • You bring an analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to thorough, quality work.
  • You have a genuine enthusiasm for the sustainability agenda and an interest in the role of the financial sector.
  • You are fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills (Danish proficiency is not required).
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel is an advantage.

At Group Sustainability, we are keen to ensure that the work you will be carrying out as our student assistant is both meaningful and challenging – and you will be entrusted with a high degree of responsibility for your tasks and projects. As such, you should be independent, proactive, and not afraid of asking questions.

This position is based at our headquarters in Postbyen, Copenhagen, with options available for remote work to accommodate a balance between your professional, academic, and personal commitments.
