Audio Test Engineer

Join our Global Audio Test and System Verification Department.
You will become part of a team of 12 other people who, across Denmark and China, makes sure that the Jabra products are always thoroughly tested and verified. Many of your colleagues are experienced, and you will get to learn and grow with their help.
Your new department is split into two teams: One team is responsible for Audio-visual user level testing with end-users, while the other – the Design Verification Testteam (DVT) – takes the lead in conducting instrumental tests in our dedicated lab facilities. You will be part of the latter, testing our latest audio and video devices.
Your role
Based within the Audio DVT Team, you will work in a in a highly optimized test team with modern workflows, tools, and processes. Your role will mainly be centered around conducting Audio Tests in our state-of-the-art Audio Lab facilities. This is a task that requires consistency, methodology, and patience in order to set up and supervise automated test workflows on specific product configurations. You should be able to independently coordinate and plan your time according to the tasks available on a daily basis.
Your role will also involve optimizing test sequences which can be further automated with scripts, or debugging test sequences which have errors. This ensures we always keep our test systems optimized and up to date.
Your responsibilities
- Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment and setups
- Conduct pre-specified Audio Tests on specific product configurations
- Deliver test reports
- Maintain a tidy lab environment and test sample inventory system
- Contribute to Test Sequence optimizations, automations, and debugging through our version-controlled Git repository
- Assisting development engineers in complex assignments
Your Qualifications
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustic Engineering, Audio Engineering, or similar relevant qualification
- You have experience with practical laboratory work, covering acoustic testing, from previous work or university projects
- You have some experience with scripting and programming with Python or similar relevant experience
- Experience with GIT version control is a plus
- Experience with SQL databases is a plus
- You speak and write English effortlessly
