About the Role:
As a Cargo Excellence Manager, you will ensure the safe and compliant handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials within an organization. Streamlining processes related to the handling of dangerous goods, improving efficiency while maintaining safety and compliance. Supporting the implementation of best practices and innovations in dangerous goods management to enhance safety and operational effectiveness over time. Promoting a safety-first culture within the organization, fostering awareness trainings, and responsibility among all employees regarding hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Aligning together with the Head of Dangerous Goods key projects prioritization based on impact
  • Leading and motivating the project team to learn and success together while maximizing value for the organization
  • Support the team driving innovative ways of working and driving standardization
  • Coordinating team engagement sessions and action plan

Strategy

  • Coordinating the design of the team’s yearly objectives and KPIs
  • Monitoring of performance management and DG profit and loss outlook
  • Ambassador of dangerous goods being an enabler of end-to-end integrated logistics and complex solutions across products

Project Planning

  • Defining scope, deliverables, resources, assigning tasks and ensuring everyone understands their role, setting timelines, and designing detailed project plans that meet quality standards
  • Ensuring that projects within the program support the organization's strategic objectives and priorities

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Focal serving as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, project team members, sponsors, and customers
  • Ownership of the Dangerous Goods SharePoint site

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field
  • Ability to develop strong relationships, and the ability to influence and impact without authority. Building partnerships and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to meet shared objectives and create company value will be crucial to success in this role
  • Experience with dangerous material management ideal
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage complex, cross-functional project
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically, assess complex situations, and develop strategic solutions that improve operational efficiency and overcome logistical challenges
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential risks, enforce safety measures, and always ensure compliance.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity and Change: Ability to navigate uncertain situations, make decisions with incomplete information, and adapt to evolving priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
