The Position
As a Senior Portfolio Controller at Novo Nordisk, you will join a team of 45 colleagues working in our Project Management Office. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project managers to develop decision materials for senior management, ensuring adherence to timelines and high-quality standards in both management reporting and decision material creation.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Consolidating and challenging the Site investment portfolio, including budget and monthly reporting, and maintaining updated monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensuring timely approvals of investments while continuously updating project portfolio management systems.
  • Driving long term Financial Forecasting for investments, setting process standards and scalable templates.
  • Supporting sites and programme managers in business case preparation.
  • Providing analytical support and acting as a business partner to project managers and sites management.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or other relevant area.
  • At least 5 years of experience within Project Management in manufacturing, engineering, finance, business consulting or project execution.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, and the ability to deliver with high quality under pressure.
  • Experience working with Portfolio Management.
  • Confidence and ability to constructively challenge on all levels of the organisation.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both oral and written.

As a person you can work independently, build, and maintain relationships and address problems in a proper time manner. Moreover, you are well-organized and have a structured approach to your work; you excel in multitasking while prioritising your efforts in an optimal way. Furthermore, you demonstrate an ability to simplify complex concepts through PowerPoint presentations that facilitate decision-making.

About the Department
The PMO is placed within Production Support at our site AM HI, a production site which is part of our global production division; Product Supply – counting close to 14.000 employees worldwide. Production Support consists of 100 highly qualified employees with a multitude of professional backgrounds, all with the common purpose to support our production and implementation of Novo Nordisk strategies within AM HI. The site relies on a brand-new Aseptic Production as well as Assembly and Packaging lines, Material handling and Warehouses. Here we produce Diabetes and Obesity products 24/7, which are continuously distributed to patients worldwide.

The PMO department consists of four Associate managers each with a team of highly skilled Project managers or other project related employees including Project portfolio managers and Shutdown managers. Additionally, you will have one Senior Project manage in direct reference. The total size of the department will be approx. 50 employees, when the planned recruitments in 2024 have been completed.

The PMO department is responsible for:

    • Project Execution in production as well as support areas
    • Project portfolio management incl. budgeting, reporting, and controlling
    • Shutdown management
    • Maintaining and developing the Project Execution model incl. standards, processes, and competences
    • Project validation strategies.
