We are looking for experienced Engineers to strengthen our Process Department in Asker. As a Process Engineer, you will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition and you will have the chance to work on exciting projects across various segments, including offshore wind, CCS, hydrogen, field development and electrification on the Norwegian continental shelf.
About the position
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to perform process design, calculations and simulations across a wide variety of project types. You will have the opportunity to grow through exciting, multidisciplinary studies and EPC projects alongside talented colleagues.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Develop and review project philosophies and specifications
- Prepare PFD, P&ID, line lists and design reports
- Prepare and actively participate in HAZOP, design reviews and other relevant safety reviews
- Proficiency in Process simulations
- Active collaboration with other disciplines and vendors
- Expertise in process safety or compressor system is beneficial
Qualifications
- Higher technical education chemical/process engineering (BSc, MSc)
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in engineering
- Experience from NCS or Norwegian onshore projects is an advantage
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, i.e. NORSOK, Ptil/PSA, API standards
- In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
- Compressor system design
- Heat exchanger design and rating
- Process simulations
- Process safety
- Carbon capture
Personal qualities
- Establish good relations with colleagues, suppliers, and client
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, fluency in Norwegian is beneficial
- A willingness to learn, seek advice and share own experiences with others
- Committed to meeting the deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
- Eager to improve our ways of working
