Then you might our new Senior Manager to head our Technology Center Denmark!

Your challenges
In this role you will head our Technology Center, Denmark department, having approximately 20 highly skilled employees reporting directly to you. Your employees include Project Managers, Mechanical Designers, Automation Programmers, Electricians and Mechanical Technicians. You will report into Dennis Hansen, who is heading Supply Technology, and you will be based at our location in Skjern, where the majority of your direct reports are located.

Technology Center Denmark is an internal VELUX service organization focused on supporting our Center of Excellence functions and VELUX Product Introduction factories by designing, developing, manufacturing, assembling and programming advanced specially designed equipment and input to New Product Launch (NPL) projects regarding DFM, DFA, DFP. The primary role is to support NPL, while service and support for our mass production sites are covered by a separate department.

One of your key focus areas will be to build up a Technology Centre at our Østbirk location providing machine-building for all product introduction factories in close co-operation with the management of the Centers of Excellence (CoE) functions within our Supply Engineering and Production Introduction (SE&PI) organization.

While we naturally expect you to bring your ideas to the table and implement changes in collaboration with your manager, it is also important that you focus on supporting the current positive culture existing in this department.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Supervise a team of highly skilled specialists.
  • Maintain and develop relations to your key stakeholders, including both internal VELUX functions as well as external suppliers.
  • Ensure and develop a capable and skilled department able to support the production of VELUX’s future projects in the best possible way.
  • Ensure continuous resource and capacity planning.
  • Follow up on financial figures.
  • Ensure strategy deployment within own area of responsibility.

In this role, you should consider approx.. 15 days of travel per year, primarily in Europe – e.g. to visit VELUX production companies and supplier events.

Your Qualifications
To be the ideal candidate for this role, you

  • Are an experienced people manager (5+ years), preferably with leadership of technical specialists.
  • Bring knowledge and experience in automation and production technologies (e.g., robotics, control systems, digitization, and general mechanics/mechatronics).
  • Have good stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Are proficient in English and Danish – spoken and written.

The verified carbon units generated by the forest projects are retired and donated as a contribution to the host countries’ national climate target under the Paris agreement.
