We are looking for an Angular software engineer ready to share and grow!

The position is based in our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland. As an Angular developer you will work in an agile development team enabling modern Online Banking user solution in Open for Business Department. You will be part of a team with Angular, Java and Cobol developers, and testers. A full stack team to support the continuous growth of our banking solutions.

The team is responsible for new business development in Domain OMNI Channel and both meeting the EU legislation on Law of Accessibility and future supporting the digital transformation from java web bank application towards an Angular application. The team focus is new development and lifting the current solution to more modern backend and solutions, however rotation to maintenance and operational teams can occur. All team members have the responsibility of participating in the Feature socialization, writing the technical requirements and user Stories, estimation and development. There are appointed manual testers to perform test and quality assurance.

The team consist of 16 dedicated team members divided in units and with employees split between Denmark & Poland. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Sanne Kjærgaard Hellmann

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

  • You will develop & document front-end business solutions.
  • You will drive architectural changes and create standards around front-end development for client-facing solutions.
  • You will be responsible for the whole development lifecycle: from technical analysis of stories and bugs, technical design, to development, dev testing and release.
  • You will apply DevOps culture into your daily work looking for process improvements and driving its implementation.

To succeed you will have:

  • 5+ experience in Front end development​, with 3+ experience in Angular 2+
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience working with micro frontends or hybrid apps architecture (at least one is a must)
  • Experience with complex Angular applications, components, modules, services, rxjs and observables
  • Familiar with testing frameworks (ex. Jasmine or Jest) & test runner framework (ex. Karma)​
  • Understanding of UI frameworks concept (e.g. Google Material Design).
  • Hands on experience with GIT, BitBucket, Jira, Confluence, VS Code or IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Familiar with mentoring using pair programming, code reviews, firm mentorship.
  • Familiar with Software Craftsmanship and Built-in Quality.
  • Approach that is naturally curious, detail-oriented, proactive and focused on helping each other
  • Higher education, preferably in IT

It’s nice-to-have:

  • DevOps experience, Scrum/Agile mindset, UX/UI experience
