We are looking to strengthen the team with new layout engineers.
About the position
As a Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing layout and design solutions for our projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, construction teams, and other engineers to ensure that layouts meet all requirements for functionality, efficiency, safety, and aesthetics. This is a key role that demands a solid understanding of both technical specifications and design principles.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Develop layout drawings and designs according to project requirements
- Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant standards and regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate layout with other technical solutions
- Monitor and update layouts throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure optimal use of space, materials, and resources
- Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes
- Conduct offshore site surveys for design development with a focus on layout
- Provide input for study reports
- Prepare Material Take Off (MTO) / Material Equipment List (MEL)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Must have experience with layout and material handling in FEED studies or large projects
- (Fluent communication in English and preferably Norwegian)
- Experience with FEED studies and EPCI projects
- Experience using software such as E3D, STID, Microstation, Microsoft Office, Adobe Standard

- Ability to work systematically and organized
