Software Engineer and Tech Lead for Everyday Banking Corporate

Our tribe consists of around 150 people, who all work with solutions and services to our corporate customers.

Our squad resides across various locations and countries, but we collaborate closely to ensure we deliver high-quality software products and solutions.

As a Software Engineer and Tech Lead
You will Lead and manage the Trade Finance technical landscape in Danske Bank, overseeing current and future technology aspects, including architectural responsibilities, solution development, microservices, integration design, legacy modernization, migration, private and public cloud deployment, and security

You will Innovate and spearhead the design and development of modern Trade Finance solutions in collaboration with TradeWiz as a third-party vendor, as well as technical and business stakeholders.

Furthermore you will;

  • Provide senior technical guidance to the team and Product Owner to optimize business outcomes
  • Drive the definition of features, establish robust architectures, and ensure the ongoing health of the product platform
  • Work closely with the Tribe Architect and software architects/tech leads from down- and up stream systems
  • Guide the squad technically in contributing to a state-of-the-art digital customer journey
  • Be proactive to promote close collaboration with technical colleagues, business users, and customers

Your expertise should encompass the following
We imagine you bring documented history of leading technology transformations within the banking sector, collaborating effectively with software engineering and development teams. You are proficiency in:

  • Architecture design, system and solution design, and integrations
  • Comprehensive understanding of microservices architecture with hands-on development experience in both Cloud-Native Technologies and legacy systems
  • Frontend technologies: React or Angular
  • Backend technologies: Java, C# and NodeJS
  • Middleware: RabbitMQ, IBM MQ

You bring a proactive "can-do" attitude, setting individual targets while providing support and leadership to squad colleagues.
Furthermore;

  • Demonstrated skills in working with databases, including IBM DB2, MS SQL, and Non-relational databases
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Hands-on experience in Public Cloud, preferably AWS
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Containerisation
  • Experience in building resilient, highly available and scalable solutions

Experience with the following is highly valued:

  • Knowledge in Trade Finance and Guarantee Products and its SWIFT and ISO 20022 messages
  • Certifications in Databases, OpenShift and AWS Architecture
  • Mainframe technologies: PL/1, Cobol, DB2, and Batch
  • Familiarity with UI/UX standards

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field, along with over 10 years of proven experience in software development and design, or a comparable role, highlighting skills in architecture modeling tools and concepts.
