As we grow, we are excited to welcome a Contingent Workforce Compliance Manager (UK) to join us in leading compliance efforts for our contingent workforce across the UK.
About the Role
As a Contingent Workforce Compliance Manager (UK), you’ll play a key role in guiding our compliance strategies for Worksome and our clients. You will navigate complex workforce regulations, advise on best practices, and ensure that our processes align with legal requirements. This role offers high visibility and impact, with opportunities to collaborate across multiple teams and directly support clients.
Key responsabilities
- Compliance Management: Oversee contingent workforce engagements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and reducing risk.
- IR35 and AWR Expertise: Manage IR35 determinations, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR).
- Background Checks (BGC): Supervise the background check process for UK workers, handling escalations and ensuring compliance.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with relevant laws, including IR35 assessments and tax avoidance checks.
- Client Support: Serve as a key contact for clients, offering support and addressing compliance-related inquiries.
- Training and Onboarding: Provide guidance on new regulations, assisting internal teams with compliance onboarding.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as finance, customer success, and payroll to address compliance challenges and improve processes
About you
- Significant experience in UK contingent workforce compliance, with in-depth knowledge of IR35, AWR, and UK employment regulations.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to managing compliance challenges and escalations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients.
- Strong attention to detail and experience conducting thorough audits and risk assessments.
- Familiarity with compliance tools (e.g., Veremark, Onfido) is a plus but not essential, we’re happy to support learning in this area.
