Services Category Manager

Cadeler is a global partner in the offshore wind industry, specializing in wind farm construction and maintenance. We are part of an industry that is now, more than ever, both relevant and in high demand. As our industry continues to grow, so do we! We are now looking for a Services Category Manager to lead the procurement strategy for our service categories.

What will you do?
As our new Services Category Manager, you will develop and implement procurement strategies and negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services that align with the company’s goals across the different regions we operate.

Your main tasks include:

• Develop and execute category strategies for various critical services scopes supporting our technical, operational and project execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to foster strong relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service delivery meets performance standards.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, assess supplier capabilities, and inform sourcing decisions.
• Monitor and analyze service costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement effective procurement strategies.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand service needs, gather requirements, and ensure procurement strategies meet business objectives.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, compliance, and market fluctuations.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly review relevant supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with service requirements.
• Lead initiatives to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Planning of and reporting on sourcing initiatives and execution of projects as per the Procurement Gameplan for Cadeler.

We are looking for an analytical and communicative profile, who has a structured approach to problem resolution and an ability to make data-drive decisions. Someone who understands the importance of details and works collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. We are looking for strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with others as well as someone with strong negotiation and contract management skills.

We think you will be a good match if you:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience depending on specific previous jobs context or industries, within procurement or category management, with a focus on technical, maritime or off-shore services related.
• Experience with MS Office and good expertise in Excel for TCO and cost models.
• Fluency in oral and written English.
• Off-shore O&G, Wind, or shipping operational acumen is an advantage.
