Project manager for International Nursing Education Development Project

Are you a Nurse holding a PhD degree with a strong background in project management within the healthcare or educational sector? Are you passionate about improving education in CMD knowledge and the quality of nursing education? We are currently seeking a dedicated structured Project Manager to lead a transformative international initiative strengthening nurse education in India, Kenya, and Denmark.
About the Project
Cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs) represent a significant global health challenge, imposing severe social and economic burdens, especially on vulnerable populations in underserved regions. This project aims to address these challenges by empowering nurses in India, Kenya and Denmark to become reflective practitioners equipped with the latest evidence-based CMD management practices, clinical decision-making skills and effective didactic techniques/theories also based on innovative online and blended learning approaches.
The project builds on a 1.5-year scoping study carried out by the Indian and Kenyan partners and University Collage Absalon, University Collage Copenhagen and VIA University Collage funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, during which partnerships were established, and the project design were developed. The project’s five-year timeline and budget will support the implementation of these strategies, ultimately elevating the standard of care and improving health outcomes in regions most impacted by CMDs. At the same time the project is a capacity building project at the educational institutions involved in India, Kenya and Denmark. Hence, the cooperation, alignment and interplay between the partnering institutions will be one of the project focus areas.
Your Role
As the Project Manager, your responsibilities will be:
- Leadership and Coordination: Oversee the project’s overall progress, ensuring alignment with the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) strategic goals and reporting to the project governance structure Work closely with the project group members to plan, execute and report on activities.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners, including nursing educational institutions in India and Kenya, and ensuring collaboration among the university colleges involved in Denmark.
• Project Implementation: Work closely with educational professionals to co-develop and co-implement high-quality training packages, and resources, run working groups, facilitate workshops, plan seminars and ensure exchange programs.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Coordinate evaluation efforts to document the impact of the project, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation of strategies.
• Resource Management: Manage the project’s budget and resources effectively to achieve the set objectives within the allocated timeframe.
• Communication and Reporting: Ensure clear and timely communication with all stakeholders and provide regular updates to funding bodies and partner institutions.
• Work package leader involving follow up research and educational strategy in the topic clinical leadership

Location
This position is based at University Collage Absalon at Campus Roskilde, with travel to India, and Kenya 2-5 times a year, and inside Denmark as required.

• International Experience: Familiarity with working in an international context, particularly in developing countries, and an understanding of the complexities involved. Language skills in this regard is essential and both written and spoken skills will be tested. Fluent in Danish and English.
• Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different cultures and disciplines.
• Research and Evaluation Acumen: Experience with project management and impact assessment, particularly in an educational or healthcare setting. A relevant CV of publications.
