Bankdata
Are you passionate about empowering your co-workers? Do you thrive in collaborative environments, helping organizations build effective solutions? If so, join us and play a key role in redefining how we work with architecture in modern software development.
Your future workplace
Welcome to Wealth & Investments (WEI). WEI is a business area that consists of 62 employees divided into 11 teams. Among these, you’ll find your future team, WEI Architect Team. Our goal is to enable our colleagues within WEI to make architectural decisions themselves.
Today, the team consists of one Lead UX Strategist and your future Manager, who both are looking forward to welcoming you to the team and the great collaboration within. Our way of working ensures that we have a strong cohesiveness and close collegiality across teams.
Mission statement
We believe that architecture is most effective when decisions are made by those closest to the solutions. Your mission will be to create the right conditions for these decisions by leading and facilitating our newly established WEI architecture forum. This forum focuses on strategy, architectural principles, and cross-team knowledge sharing to foster aligned autonomy—where teams shape their own landscapes while staying consistent with our organization’s overarching framework.
Within the first 6-12 months, we believe that you have been the facilitator behind:
- Defining architectural principles.
- Workshops and growth-sessions to strengthen our teams’ competences.
- Implementing Architecture Decision Records.
What You’ll Do
Your future tasks will vary, but they will all be focused on enabling WEI-teams to make architectural decisions. Here is a sneak peek into your future tasks and responsibilities:
- Facilitate the Architecture Forum: Act as the primary driver of architectural alignment across teams by guiding discussions on strategy, principles, and shared challenges.
- Enable Team Autonomy: Collaborate closely with teams to solve complex architecture and software development challenges, all while ensuring they develop the capabilities needed for self-sufficiency.
- Foster a Decision-Making Culture: Establish processes that encourage well-considered, transparent, and strategically aligned decisions that are appropriately documented.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with internal and external partners to develop and deliver solutions that align with our organization’s goals.
- Support Modern Development Practices: Advocate for and guide teams in topics like domain-driven design, distributed systems, and evolutionary architecture.
What you bring to the table
It is important that you have a growth mindset and are passionate about growing your colleagues’ competences. Furthermore, we believe that you identify with the following:
- Experience: Strong background in software architecture, development, and leadership within complex organizations.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to build trust across teams and stakeholders, facilitating conversations to unlock the best outcomes.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with modern architectural practices, including domain-driven design and distributed systems.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to align team autonomy with organizational goals while balancing flexibility and governance.
- People-Oriented Approach: Passion for coaching and enabling teams to grow their capabilities and make informed decisions.
A role with great impact
This is more than just a technical leadership role—it is an opportunity to shape the future of how we work with architecture. You’ll play a key part in building a culture of collaboration and strategic alignment across WEI, ensuring both individual growth and team success. Together, we’ll achieve great things, both personally and professionally.
