Position Overview
Sodexo Sweden delivers a comprehensive range of services to its clients, including Food Services, Cleaning Services, Workplace and Facility Services, Concierge and Home Services, and Aid Equipment. The Corporate Services team oversees approximately 700 contracts across 200 locations throughout Sweden, serving a diverse portfolio of clients, from local businesses to large global corporations. The Corporate Services management team consists of seven directors in business development, operations, and account management.
As Segment Director Corporate Services, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Corporate Services segment in Sweden. You will lead your business area with a collaborative mindset, working closely with your team members, the Swedish management team, support functions, and other stakeholders to ensure our business strategies align with Sodexo’s global goals and values.
At the core of this role is a commitment to fostering strong partnerships—both internally across teams and functions, and externally with clients—to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions that support our mission to improve the quality of life. This role requires not only a strategic thinker but also a people-focused leader who can inspire teams and drive collective success. You will be entrusted with ensuring Sodexo’s high standards in safety, sustainability, and service quality while contributing to the broader business goals through profitability and growth.
Segment Director Corporate Services reports to CEO as well as regional Segment Director and is part of country leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Corporate Services management team and crucial support functions to execute on business area strategy in Sweden, ensuring alignment with global objectives. Lead the development of long-term business strategies to secure sustainable, profitable growth.
- Business Growth & Development: Oversee the business development function, driving both new client acquisition and cross-selling opportunities. Identify market trends and growth opportunities, delivering innovative solutions to meet client needs.
- Operational Excellence: Lead a team of Operations Directors and business developers to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across service offerings.
- Financial Performance: Drive profitability by managing P&L responsibilities, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring the achievement of financial performance targets.
- Talent & Leadership Development: Collaborate with HR to develop strong leadership capabilities within the segment. Ensure succession plans are in place, fostering a high-performance culture that aligns with Sodexo’s values service spirit, team spirit, and spirit of progress.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive leadership experience in managing large-scale operations within service-related sectors. Experience with large-scale procurement processes is highly desirable.
- Proven strategic and commercial acumen with a strong track record in managing P&L responsibilities and driving growth.
- Expertise in developing and implementing business strategies to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills, adept at leading cross-functional teams within a matrixed organizational structure.
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships and to develop extensive client networks.
- Experience in leading senior leadership teams and contributing to executive-level decision-making.
- Swedish and English language proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in finance, business administration, or another relevant field is required.
