Are you interested in leading a talented team of Product Owners, AI/ML Scientists and collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams to ensure that digital offerings are market-leading, user-centric, and aligned with broader business objectives?
If yes, then we may have an exciting opportunity for you!
Apply now for our Head of Product Suite position and join one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.
The position
The Head of Product Suite is accountable for the entire product(s) within the product line lifecycle, from discovery through end-user adoption. We are looking to fill an important role in our product suite: Study Planning (including clinical operations insights such as: early study plans, e-feasibility, country allocation, investigator identification and site selection).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate closely with assigned Business Owner(s) to co-create and communicate a compelling product line strategy aligned with the overall StudyHub vision.
- Directly manage and mentor multiple teams of Product Owners, establishing clear objectives, vision, and fostering their professional development.
- Develop a viable product that addresses key business pain points, generates actionable insights, drives adoption, and creates significant business value. This involves navigating business processes, understanding data and data science, leveraging technology, and ensuring a deep user experience.
- Effectively manage a diverse stakeholder group across global and country affiliates, negotiating with both business and technical stakeholders, while coaching and mentoring peers to navigate a complex stakeholder landscape and regulatory constraints.
- Dynamically allocate resources and ensure that product investments align with strategic priorities within the product line.
- Oversee department and product line budgets, strategically allocating resources and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Maintain consistent application of product design principles across the product line to deliver intuitive, aesthetically pleasing user experiences and reinforce brand identity.
Our commitment to innovation also applies to the way we work. We therefore embrace the hybrid workplace – with a blend of home office in Denmark and on-site work in Søborg, Denmark where our team is based. We welcome international applicants with the willingness to relocate to Denmark.
The daily work is performed out of the job holders' local base, and in collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and projects globally. Hence the role includes frequent interaction across the organisation via tech platforms and some travelling for critically important meetings in line with the Circular for Zero strategy.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- An academic degree in Business Administration, Design, IT, Engineering, or similar.
- 10+ years of advanced experience with driving user-centric product development in an agile setting combined with 5+ years of experience in people management and leading leaders.
- Proven experience in development (clinical and/or clinical operations) business knowledge/insights and navigating a global organization.
- Essential experience in leading multiple complex products and managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
On a personal level, you hold exceptional leadership qualities to inspire, motivate, and guide a diverse team of product professionals. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to influence others and drive consensus among stakeholders with diverse priorities. You embrace innovation and actively apply advanced research-driven product development techniques effectively to enhance product backlog, workflows, and collaboration patterns. You are fully capable to adapt to changing conditions, embracing new technologies and methodologies, and maintaining resilience in the face of setbacks and challenges.
About the department
The position as Head of Product Suite (Director / Senior Director) is based in the Operational Data Insights (ODI) area, which is part of the unit called Global Trial Portfolio where we are dedicated to designing, building, enriching, and maintaining StudyHub through a collaborative way of working with Development Lines of Business (LoBs), Digital Transformation Office (DTO), and Development IT (DD&IT). The ODI team leads the operational data insights journey all along the program/trial lifecycle, enabling LoBs to evolve towards more informed decision-making. You will join a pragmatic team eager to tackle complex clinical operations problems, use AI and advanced analytics to generate deep contextualized insights, and unleash data-driven decisions.
Novo Nordisk StudyHub's vision is to provide a “Suite of Products” that enables business leaders and associates to focus on knowledge work to increase speed to market, productivity, and patient reach. A centralised hub delivering operational data insights that leverage the value of existing internal and external data, clinical development, and clinical operations expertise, processes, and tools. As an integrated ecosystem, StudyHub addresses pain points for users across the value chain and the decision lifecycle. The vision is to move away from individual tools to build a fit-for-purpose suite of 7 digital products that Connect Early Trial Design with Trial Planning (country allocation, site selection), Trial Forecasting (demand, resources, costs), and Trial Operations (study start-up, study conduct) serving global and country users around the world.
