VisitDenmark is dedicated to raising Denmark's profile as a top travel destination. Based in our Milan office, you’ll take the lead in inspiring French and Italian travelers to discover Denmark. With both markets seeing exciting growth, we’re looking for a skilled Marketing Manager who brings strong marketing expertise, excels at coordinating multiple initiatives, and builds valuable relationships to help keep this momentum going.
Tasks and responsibilities:
As the Marketing Manager, you’ll oversee local marketing activities for France and Italy, covering everything from campaign development to final reporting. Working with both our Milan team and Copenhagen headquarters, you’ll drive the strategic marketing plans from concept to execution.
Key responsibilities
In close collaboration with local teams and head office, you will:
- Develop marketing strategies and communications tailored to French and Italian audiences, amplifying Denmark’s brand appeal and driving travel interest.
- Proactively seek and build relationships with various partners in regard to campaigns in France and Italy, exploring innovative partnerships to strengthen Denmark’s presence and deepen Denmark’s positioning in France and Italy.
- Join forces with cross-market Marketing Managers, sharing best practices to optimise our Go-to-Market strategies and execute cross-market campaigns.
- Design and execute marketing plans that resonate with local market trends, ensuring impactful storytelling.
- Coordinate closely with our head office, working with creative teams and media buying specialists to execute cohesive, on-brand campaigns.
Your qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Proven ability to build lasting relationships with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
- Market insights and competitor knowledge: Skilled in monitoring trends, attending industry events, and conducting market research.
- Analytical abilities: Comfort using data to make informed decisions, track campaign performance, and guide future strategies.
- Creativity in marketing: Ability to develop effective marketing plans with innovative content to reach and engage target audiences.
- Organisational and project management skills: Proactive in leading projects and managing team dynamics across markets and departments.
- Adaptability to new technologies: A keen interest in leveraging the latest digital tools and trends to keep campaigns current.
- Media literacy: Ability to brief and negotiate effectively on media plans, both online and offline.
Your Background
- A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, ideally in roles that required collaboration with tourism or international partners.
- Deep familiarity with Italian, French, and ideally Danish markets and cultures.
- Proficiency in Italian, French, and English (Danish/Nordic language skills are a plus).
- A relevant degree in marketing or communication.

Travel: Occasional travel to Denmark and France.
