Your new department
You will spearhead the development of our newly established IT department: “Strategy and Services”. The vision is to create a powerhouse that aligns IT services with our ambitious business goals. Currently, the department consists of three project managers and an administrative IT coordinator, with room to grow under your leadership.
The department will be responsible for everything from IT Strategy development and budgeting to IT project Management and IT Procurement; and you will need to ensure these services are delivered, with you team, to the rest of the IT organization and our colleagues across the company.
As part of the IT leadership team, along with the leaders of IT Development, Data & Analytics, IT Operations & Security, Information Security & Operational Technology, you will report to the VP, Head of IT, and will support setting the direction for the future of how our company operates in IT.
In this role you will
- Lead the development and maintenance of our IT strategy.
- Build and manage a team to support the IT organization, and beyond.
- Own and facilitate the IT communication strategy.
- Own and be responsible for a streamlined IT procurement process, IT contract- and license-management to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Manage essential tasks and IT projects, delegating to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Facilitate and consolidate the IT budget process for the overall IT organization as well as subdepartments’ IT budgets.
- Facilitate and maintain the IT annual wheel and related processes.
- Own and ensure maintenance of IT’s internal and external communication.
- Build, drive and maintain the IT communications framework, including template development.
We are seeking an individual with 3-5 years of leadership experience. You have a proven track record in developing and implementing IT strategies, vendor selection, and managing complex contracts. You know how to motivate a team while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
To thrive in this position, we imagine that you
- are a seasoned people leader with keen strategic vision
- have 3-5 years of work experience from a similar position, e.g. as CIOO manager
- hold a bachelor's or master’s degree in company organization, IT or another relevant field, or have equivalent work experience
- are a fluent and clear communicator in both spoken and written English.
- have experience with budget management as well as IT procurement and contracts
- are experienced in project and task management and related methodology
- know when to delegate
