Digital Experience Team
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a distributed team in the Digital Experience Department and contribute to some of the ongoing projects. In the Digital Experience team, we develop and maintain a broad suite of customer-facing services and solutions that support our business. You will join a team of highly qualified colleagues and apply your skills in defining, building, and maintaining modern online services.

The contract is temporary for 12 months with the possibility of an extension.

As a QA Engineer, you will have the following key responsibilities:



Test Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based products product ensuring that software meets quality standards and is free from errors or defects
  • Define and implement testing strategies, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing
  • In collaboration with the QA team, oversee test dependencies, discern potential issues, and implement a mitigation strategy
  • Support the team in preparing an automation test strategy for core products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design test scenarios
  • Identify Bugs: Classify bugs based on severity (e.g., critical, major, minor)
  • Criticality: Determine impact on functionality, user experience, and business goals
  • Prioritization: Use a matrix (e.g., impact vs. effort) to rank bugs for resolution

Test and Release Execution:

  • Perform manual testing of web applications to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with the development teams to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and coordinate deployments making sure QA of release is on a high level.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with Scrum masters, Developers, Product Owners, Stakeholders and Designers to ensure a shared understanding of quality goals
  • Analyze and evaluate that business requirements with AC are clear and fully described
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinements, demo, retrospective
  • Provide clear and concise test reports and metrics to Scrum Master and Stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in QA and testing
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team
  • Advocate for quality throughout the product development lifecycle.

What is required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in QA, with a focus on web applications
  • Good understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks
  • Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools (Azure DevOps)
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and documentation
  • Experience with REST APIs (XML, JSON) and Postman (or equivalent client)
  • Experience in testing of any CMS solutions (Sitecore, Contentful)
  • Basic experience in continuous integration processes and tools (Azure DevOps, Octopus or similar)
  • Experience using Figma to view, analyze and verify UI designs
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products
  • You have fluent English language skills, and you feel confident working in a cross-cultural environment
  • Agile-oriented mindset coupled with practical involvement in Scrum or comparable Agile frameworks.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience in any programming languages (Preferably C# and JavaScript)
  • Experience in accessibility testing, including knowledge of WCAG guidelines
  • ISTQB certification
  • Experience in load testing (JMeter)
  • Experience in testing of any eCommerce solution (especially Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
