Senior Infrastructure Architect

Join us in this role where you’ll design and document the infrastructure architecture components for the network domain offered to the customers of an Infrastructure IT Product Line, based on overall enterprise infrastructure strategies, reference architectures, and authorised topologies. The Domain Infrastructure Architect will lead the designs and work closely with other teams in IT Product Lines.

You’ll be part of the IPL Enterprise Infrastructure team where you, together with your colleagues, constantly plan, design, assemble, and oversee the systems that run an organisations technological infrastructure. You’ll assess the operations existing resources, determine any changes that may be needed, and make recommendations. As a team, we collaborate, embrace learning opportunities, share talent, and support mutual development.
You’ll play an important role in:
- delivering strategies, technology roadmaps, reference architectures, and guidelines within the IT and OT network domains
- defining and designing the network architecture at all levels according to our architectural design methods
- engaging with enterprise architects, engineering, operations, and other architecture teams to align network services with existing and future business capabilities
- presenting products and services to stakeholders, supporting, and coaching the Production IT Infrastructure IPL team members to find the best short and long-term solutions.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have solid knowledge of network technologies, incl. WAN, LAN, Wireless, Routers, Switches, e.g., Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, Cisco SDA, Cisco ISE, ThousandEyes, and SolarWinds
- have extensive experience with the design and development of complex network architecture and system landscapes
- are experienced in network security technologies, proxies and load balancers, e.g. Palo Alto firewalls and Citrix NetScalers
- possess an overall familiarity with cloud networking and other Infrastructure technologies, e.g., compute, storage, IAM, backup, monitoring, virtual applications and desktops, and PCs
- have strong cooperation capabilities, solid operational experience, and the ability to solve architectural challenges alongside stakeholders
- have an overall familiarity with infrastructure security architecture, compliance frameworks (e.g. IEC 62443, NERC-CIP, NIS2) and Shift Left Security thinking.
