The purpose of the Supplier Compliance Officer role is to ensure a robust onboarding process and an effective audit program for medicine suppliers, enabling Abacus Medicine to collaborate only with high-quality suppliers and protect both patients and the business. By building strong relationships with suppliers, the officer fosters trust and ensures compliance, while a commercial mindset identifies opportunities for improvement that enhance patient safety and support business goals.
As the position requires a lot of travelling across Europe to different pharmaceutical companies, the perfect candidate loves travelling, is commercially driven and is passionate about quality.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Onboard and qualify medicine suppliers while ensuring adherence to GDP guidelines
- Maintain and execute the audit program, writing reports and following up on findings with suppliers
- Re-qualify suppliers and evaluate their performance on a bi-yearly basis
- Maintain the electronic supplier management system
- Participate in fairs to foster solid supplier collaboration
- Assist in the investigation of supplier-related deviations to ensure compliance and quality
Your Profile
The ideal candidate has a few years of experience in the pharmaceutical field, particularly in areas such as quality assurance or purchasing, among other related functions. While extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical quality assurance is not required, a strong drive, interest in quality, and the ability to navigate challenges in complex industries are essential for success in this role.
Furthermore, we imagine you have:
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- An outgoing personality, and thrives in collaborative environments, building strong relationships with clients and team members
- Commercial mindset, to be able to meet the clients with understanding of their commercial operations
- Organized, methodical, and efficient
