We are looking for a Design Authority Engineer who will have the technical responsibility for the signalling solution in the Fjernbane Signals projects – the project responsible for introducing new signalling technology in Denmark.
The Danish Signalling Programme, the largest of its kind in Europe, is fully engaged in the replacing of the old signalling system on the Danish railway with new computer-based signalling technology. The system is aligned with the European standard, European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS). Replacing the system on the entire railway makes Denmark the first country to implement ERTMS on a national scale.
The project is supported by an international suppliers and consultants from across Europe, therefore our office language is English.
Your place of employment will be at our headquarters in central Copenhagen.
You are the leading engineer on the customer side
As the Design Authoriy Engineer you will ensure high quality in deliverables from our supplier and lead the change management process closely with in a Design Authority group. Your main responsibility is ensuring that our supplier is fulfilling the technical and functional requirements of the contract.
While we are implementing the new signalling system, it is your responsibility to make the technical assessment of changes coming from the supplier or from internal stakeholders.
Additionally, you will contribute with technical support during installation, test and migration of the rollouts.
As a Design Authoriy Engineer your primary tasks are:
- Verifying consistency of supplier delivery with Banedanmark’s requirements
- Technical management of contract changes
- Negotiation with the suppliers
- Participating in different boards such as change control board (CCB), change advisory board (CAB)
- Change Management Meetings internal and bi-lateral
- Contribute with technical support during engineering, installation, test and migration
- Review of supplier System Requirement specification
- IT Security
- Reviews of Maintenance record / support Safety
- Lead review of generic documents.
You will be the Design Authority Engineer in a Team in Signals projects and located in Copenhagen. You will be working closely together with the other engineers in the team. The team supports you in the above-mentioned tasks, but you will have the main responsibility.
Engineer with analytical skills and commercial experience
You hold an engineering degree, and it is an advantage to have at least 5 years of experience technical design or knowledge of the railway sector, ERTMS and CENELEC standards.
On a more personal level, we are looking for a team player with analytical skills, a structured and detailed approach as well as good communication skills. At the same time, you can work independently and towards given tasks and deadlines.
Your English is good, written as well as spoken, as our office language is English, and the role includes communicating with colleagues from many different nationalities.
Salary
You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
