How to contribute to our vision
Our Nacelle Development Team in Brande consists of a mix of 16 Module Lead Engineer, Solution Owners, Engineers, and Designers strive to make the most optimal and cost-efficient designs to handle nacelles in relation to storage, transport, lifting and installation of offshore wind turbines.
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Advanced Design Engineer to take part in creating the next generation of equipment, where knowledge and creativity are needed, for a future where the products we handle are constantly growing in weight and size.
We have colleagues seated in Denmark, Poland, Spain, and India, so we are truly a global organization, and you will work together with colleagues across countries and different cultures, which creates a diverse and exiting work environment with many different stakeholders and tasks.
Your main responsibilities in this position will be:
- Design work in NX (both 3D and 2D)
- Conceptual development of new equipment for next generation platforms
- Participate in projects and become the technical point of contact
- Engineering Change Notes workflow (approval processes of your designs)
- Quality approval of your colleagues’ designs
- Plan and participate in FAT and SAT
- Interaction with suppliers and installation sites
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.
The ideal candidate holds an academic degree within mechanical engineering or similar in combination with:
- Several years of experience with CAD software, preferably NX
- Proven track record within joints/connections design (welds and bolts)
- Experience with conceptual design of steel structures
- Thorough knowledge of standards and codes in steel design, primarily euro-code
- Preferable to have an overview on offshore related standards (e.g. DNV)
- Basic understanding of engineering calculation of steel structures
- Over time to act as a specialized know-how owner for technical inquiries
- You are an outgoing self-starter and proactively take initiative
- You work well in both team settings and independently
- You have a result-oriented approach to your work and have excellent communication skills
- Fluent in reading, writing and verbal English
You have the capability to work open minded and curious in concept phase, but you are also the person that focuses and maintains the quality mindset throughout the total project and ensures finalization.
Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results. You have a high professional competency, and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills, and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
