About the Team
In the role of Automation Support Engineer, your base will be in our Customer Service Team, which is part of the Aftersales area. At Aasted, our team is committed to supporting our customers and their equipment. Our Aftersales team is growing and has a crucial role in the company strategy. Our focus is on our customers, delivering the best viable solutions and experiences, both digitally and physically. You will be part of a diverse team with many competencies.

About the Job
We are looking for a solution-oriented Automation Support Engineer for our team, who will work with customer support and troubleshoot remotely, as we have customers all around the world. You will also share your expertise in technical and process solutions with our customers and service engineers. Your daily place to work in this position will be on-site at our headquarters in Farum.

You will be working with developing the Aasted IIOT set-up focusing on customer centricity and integration to our new customer portal.

About You
Ideally, you come from a position where you are used to working closely with customers and have experience with troubleshooting, technical as well as process challenges. You are motivated by giving customers and partners a good and professional service.

Your primary tasks

  • Daily contact to our customers from both hotline, email and Teams calls focusing on understanding and assisting customers with maintaining their production.
  • Participate in operating the 24/7 support line.
  • IIOT integration of Aasted and customers via our platform Sweetconnect
  • Perform remote inspection, process optimization and troubleshooting at production sites.
  • Participate in online handover meetings with the intention to ensure that relevant individuals have appropriate knowledge and skills to efficiently operate and maintain the equipment daily.
  • Prepare follow-up lists (action lists) to ensure problems identified by the end user of the equipment will be handled to the satisfaction of the end user.
  • Develop weekly status report on the work performed and the related projects and share these with the Customer Service team.
  • General support to Aftersales customers, including documentation of work related to various installation projects and support to 24/7 customer support team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above, in marine or Automation engineering.
  • 2-5 years' work experience in technical support and hands-on experience
  • Experience using Siemens S7, Scout & Rockwell both PLC and Servo.
  • Experience in IIOT programming
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Service minded with great problem-solving skills.
  • Outgoing personality with deep understanding of communication.
