Your new team
You will be part of our PtX department consisting of 80 committed colleagues. We are currently working on several utility-scale projects in Denmark as well as North and South America and Australia. We are active in the biogas market through our purchases of biogenic CO2 for the production of methanol. As we see the interplay between the power- and biobased energy markets increasing in the future, we seek to improve our understanding of the biogas market from a technical and commercial perspective.
Your new role
In this new role, you will be responsible for managing biogas project development and participating in partnerships and joint ventures related to biogas in Denmark and potentially abroad.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage development of biogas plants with activities including feedstock sourcing and logistics, site evaluation, permitting, design, and engineering.
- Manage external advisors supporting the development activities.
- Engage with partners and actively participate in partnerships and joint ventures related to biogas projects.
- Engage with local stakeholders, including municipalities and local utilities.
- Evaluate the technical viability and support the commercial viability of biogas project opportunities.
- Analyze domestic/international market trends and competitor activities in the biogas industry.
- Following the regulatory developments which affect biogas plants.
You can expect 20-30 days of travel activity (including domestic trips).
Job prerequisites
- A degree in engineering, environmental science, agricultural engineering, business, or a related field
- Proven experience (min. 5 years) in the biogas sector and understanding of relevant energy and anaerobic digestion processes.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience with managing complex projects with multidisciplinary stakeholders (internal/external), ideally within the energy sector.
- You are driven by curiosity about new technological innovations and pathways
- Strong business acumen, commercial awareness, and a solid understanding of biogas economics, cost, and value drivers of a biogas operation combined with an understanding of the regulatory and permitting needs of biogas projects.
- Proficiency in English and Danish, orally and written
- Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and preferably SharePoint.
You are enthusiastic, proactive, and results-driven. You possess solid problem-solving and analytical skills. You thrive working independently as well as a part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with and manage a diverse group of stakeholders.
