The job

Here’s what the job entails
In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining business-critical technical systems for our quantitative analysts and daily gas trading.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing technical solutions for our complex gas trading systems across Europe.
  • Establishing an architectural vision and building platforms that meet high operational standards.
  • Identifying and implementing functionalities that support the business in collaboration with the value-stream development team, product owners, and the product team in DC.

You will join a team of 15 passionate and curious developers dedicated to building robust, scalable, and reliable systems that empower our gas traders to work as efficiently as possible. We are a social and dynamic group who enjoy sharing our interests, which range from Mortal Kombat gaming to car racing and martial arts, making for a fun and engaging work environment. At Danske Commodities, we have over 60 motivated software developers, fostering a wealth of in-house knowledge and promoting collaboration across teams. We prioritize solving issues correctly and maintaining high-quality standards in everything we do.

Your qualifications

But enough about us… over to you!
As you will be developing and maintaining business-critical software solutions, we envision you as someone who is curious about new technology and a team player, as we always aim to improve our software design collaboratively.

We also imagine that you:

  • Hold a relevant educational background in Computer Science.
  • Have at least 5-10 years of experience in a similar position where you have worked with software development and architecture.
  • Take a holistic approach to system design, covering everything from requirements to operations.
  • Are capable of driving architecture and managing changes to existing architecture to keep it relevant and aligned with business needs.
  • Possess strong development skills with an understanding of a wide variety of tools and technologies.
  • Are proficient in .NET and Java or similar high-level languages.
  • Have a thorough understanding of API design and best practices in architecture.
