Project Risk Manager

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll implement our Project Risk Management framework in development and execution projects, closely integrating with other disciplines in Project Controls and Project Management to manage cost and schedule risks.

Welcome to Project Services
You’ll be part of Project Risk Management where you, together with your colleagues, will work across our offshore wind portfolio, delivering best practices in identifying, assessing, mitigating, and reporting cost and schedule threats and opportunities in capital projects. You’ll report directly to the Head of Project Risk Management. As a team, we aim to become the most effective project management organisation in the offshore wind industry through empowerment, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • supporting the project leadership team in establishing and driving a risk culture within the project organisation, including training and reinforcement of risk concepts and culture
  • creating risk narratives with project leadership to present and compare the project risk profile in different scenarios
  • actively engaging and collaborating with project stakeholders to provide training, support risk system usage, facilitate workshops, and create response plans
  • running risk workshops to identify and assess cost and schedule risks, validating data, running quantitative modelling, and reporting probabilistic distributions and selected percentiles
  • integrating with Finance and Planning functions to report confidence levels for base case budget and schedule assumptions.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have significant experience as a risk manager in major infrastructure projects, familiar with EPC contracts and capital projects
  • possess the relevant academic background or professional experience and can demonstrate strong capacity to work with modelling and related statistical outputs, especially in analysing probabilistic distributions from cost and schedule risks
  • demonstrate strong leadership skills with a proactive and cooperative approach to working with team members and stakeholders
  • have excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor your approach and present complex information to broad audiences.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
