This unique Industrial Designer position will be driving the design process for our brand partnerships & collaborations. Whilst being an integral part of the Design team, you will be facilitating a compelling differentiation for future partner products at Bang & Olufsen.
Key responsibilities
- Build compelling concepts and designs for our brand partnerships and brand collaboration products
- Create captivating designs (Industrial design and CMF), visualize and share them in an inspiring and communicative manner
- Communicate Bang & Olufsen design direction to external designers working with Bang & Olufsen partner products
- Co-create and collaborate with external design teams
- Guide brand partner designers based on Bang & Olufsen design principles; drive design consistency for automotive speaker offerings
- Ensure strong representation of brand and design in partner products
- Participate in Brand Partnering related meetings representing the Bang & Olufsen design team
- Collaborate with external design teams in reoccurring meetings and workshops
- Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple external design teams and stakeholders
- Ensure quality of design execution of Bang & Olufsen partner and brand collaboration products
- Ensure approval of co-branded assets
What you bring
We are seeking an industrial designer with 10+ years experience, ideally with a track-record of working with external consumer brands on collaboration products.
We imagine you have proven experience in communicating effectively through visuals, specifically you’re able to convey both the final product execution as well as the process to a variety of stakeholders.
Moreover, you bring:
- Background as an Industrial Designer, for over 10 years, within product design, consumer electronics, lifestyle, automotive
- Proven experience in working in cross-organisation work streams – collaborations with not just your organisation, but with another brand/business
- Hold a Masters degree in Industrial Design and have an all-round understanding of related design areas such as CMF and Human Interface Design
- Broad experience of the complete design process from early design concept to final product execution
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Accountability – always delivering on commitments
- Broad interest and understanding of both design and technology
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Advanced competence in 3D programs (Alias, Rhino), Adobe Creative Suite and Keyshot. Grasshopper skills are a plus.
