Design Manager, Workplace Experience - 2 years contract

We do not offer relocation for this position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the design of the LEGO® Group’s workplaces globally in close collaboration with a dedicated team of specialists.
  • Lead our design partners and drive the creation of workplace design from ideation through concept to implementation.
  • Develop and maintain design and brand standards and guidelines to ensure an equitable workplace experience across locations.
  • Assess and analyse floor plates and test fits, workplace designs and solutions and bring your recommendation and conclusions forward for decision making.
  • Research and develop design solutions responding to the needs of the organisation, driving our aspiration to enable our colleagues to succeed and grow together.
  • Work across multiple functions bringing the LEGO Brand and assets to life creating engaging, fun and playful workplaces for our colleague

The Design manager will be part of the Workplace Design team within the wider Workplace Experience department. We are dedicated to creating workplaces that bring our LEGO® brand framework and Leadership Playground to life and enable our colleagues to succeed and grow together. The Workplace Design team operates in the intersection between aspiration and concretisation and plays a crucial part in turning our mission into physical form for the benefit of our colleagues worldwide.

Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate has a background within Design, Architecture or a related field combined with solid practical work experience within design and architecture with a focus on interior spaces and branding. In addition, you bring proven design and project management skills as well as knowledge and insights into workplace design and/or related trades and sectors. We also hope to see:

  • Proficiencies in market standard tools like Revit, CAD, Adobe programs etc.
  • LEED, WELL or DGNB accreditation
  • Strong partner management skills and strong communication skills in both written and spoken words.
  • Open and collaborative attitude being curious, brave and focussed
  • Experience with research-based design, design thinking processes or similar.
  • A knowledge of code and regulations within construction and interior space across relevant markets like DK, UK, US etc.
  • Skills within visual communication and design, integrating brand, assets and storytelling into compelling and engaging experiences.
