This is a unique opportunity to lead the Audio DSP team at Bang & Olufsen. You will join a diverse and world-renowned team of DSP engineers (10) that designs and delivers the audio processing for B&O’s portfolio and shapes the future of the audio industry.
You will be part of the wider Audio team, working closely with acousticians, audio technologists, as well as hardware and software engineers, and project managers to redefine the possibilities and make a lasting impact in the world of audio technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 10+ DSP engineers.
- Oversee the team’s operations and resources to ensure efficient execution of project milestones.
- Coordinate the audio development from concept to maintenance, at the highest standards of quality.
- Define strategic initiatives to advance our speaker technologies
- Implement the team's operational structure within agile/software methodologies to carry out the processes.
- Be the primary liaison for stakeholder management towards engineering, software teams, and project management.
- Encourage the formation of a well-functioning team by facilitating ongoing opportunities for personal and technical enhancement.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with leading academic and research institutions, tech vendors, and consortia to stay at the forefront of audio technology innovation.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop talent across the team.
What you bring
We are seeking a team leader or manager who is a skilled people manager with deep knowledge in DSP and software development.
Moreover, you bring:
- 8+ years of experience in DSP/Software within audio, and minimum 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Previous experience leading advanced projects and teams within signal processing.
- Experience in growing and mentoring teams on daily operations and long-term strategic directions.
- Good working knowledge of common DSP techniques and systems, combined with good understanding of modern software design and development frameworks.
- Ability or experience of integrating DSP algorithms in SHARC or ARM processors. Knowledge of Linux systems is beneficial.
- A creative and innovative spirit and the eagerness to operate and improve software development practices, such as Scrum, and audio testing protocols.
- Collaborative mindset, effective communicator, and fluent in English in written and verbal form.
